Tweedia (Blue Milkweed)
Oxypetalum coeruleum

First described by botanists in 1835, this unusual and little-known milkweed relative is native to southern Brazil. It will perennialize in mild-climate regions but should be treated as an annual. Plants grow as tall as 3 feet and the intense sky-blue flowers are not only excellent as cut flowers, but they also attract beneficial pollinators, especially honeybees and butterflies. Blooms all summer. Minimum 30 seeds,  Germination 94%.
