Capsicum annuum
 
This highly ornamental pepper emerged at Roughwood in 2017 as a mutation of Chile Rama, a rare landrace from Eastern Nicaragua.  The plants form 24-inch tall bushes producing clusters of 4 to 6 three-inch pods resembling a bouquet. The peppers are hot and spicy like Chile Rama and are featured in The Roughwood Book of Pickling (Rizzoli 2019). Ideal for pickles, salsas, and fermented pepper sauces.
