Goldene Königin (Golden Queen Tomato)

We have maintained this rare German heirloom in our collection for many years, mainly
because it is an excellent yellow tomato. It is not related to the American variety called Golden Queen, but rather a yellow sport of an 1870s German tomato called Königin der Frühen (Queen of the Earlies). The plants are highly productive of medium-sized lemon-yellow fruit, ideal for small gardens, Pennsylvania Dutch yellow tomato-and-peach pies, and yellow tomato preserve.
