Glory of Devon Pea
Pisum sativum
Now difficult to find, this highly productive English heirloom was introduced in the late 1890s, receiving an Award of Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society in 1899. It was introduced into the US in 1908. The 36-inch vines will yield a good main crop pea in 60 days with 7 peas per pod. The young peas can be harvested like snow peas. Minimum 25 seeds,   Germination 97%.
