Chalk’s Early Jewel Tomato  Solanum lycopersicum 
One of the earliest tomatoes in our collection, this delicious, fruity red heirloom classic was created in 1899 by Irish-born James Chalk, a truck farmer near Norristown, PA.  Released commercially by Burpee in 1903, it was later used to breed many other famous varieties of tomatoes. But we think the original is still the best! Minimum 25 seeds.. Germination 96%.
