Cape Greko Mustard

Enarthocarpus arcuatus

This rare mustard resembling arugula is endemic to the Cape Greko National Forest in Cyprus and is on the UN Red List of endangered species.  These biennial plants thrive in most soils.  Seed is best planted in the early fall for overwintering salad greens.  Unlike arugula, Cape Greko mustard does not turn bitter when it blooms.  12-inch diameter plants will grow as tall as 3 to 4 feet with edible yellow flowers.  Minimum 50 seeds.  Germination 96%.
