African Stewing Radish Raphaus sativus
Called Nooitgedacht in Afrikaans, this South African radish is grown primarily as a cover crop whose greens are then used in soup or as a stewing green, or as fodder. Very slow bolting even in hot weather. Often equated with Japanese daikon, but the leaves are small and succulent – great for stir-fries too! Minimum 30 seeds. Germination 95%. LOTDG2023-RAD029.
